Download
my Chinese-English restaurant menu with Pinyin romanization
free of charge
NEW UPDATED
VERSION IS NOW AVAILABLE (July 2005)
Before you leave to celebrate
the Chinese New Year (Congratulations!) or set your traveler's
foot on Chinese soil, OneFootPrint.com wants to present
you with a hard-to-find gift — a big easy-to-comprehend
Chinese-English menu. Whether your are a tourist in China,
a restaurant owner or a cook, I will be delighted if you
took some time to download this unique bilingual creation.
Please, note that it has been
translated into English to suit the expats' needs in China,
particularly in the North of China. Since most foreigners
in the Middle Kingdom barely speak any Chinese, the menu
comes complete with Pinyin romanization to assist them in
reading the charachters to order meals in restaurants.
Prices mentioned are in Renminbi
Chinese Yuan and reflect the current pricing situation in
mid-range Chinese restaurants in the North of China more
or less accurately, but are not to be taken as a set standard.
You may as well be charged a little less or much more for
the same dish or drink in different restaurants.
Many dishes included in this
menu may have a different name in different parts of China
or even in different restaurants situated next door to one
another. Some businesses may not be able to cook you some
of the dishes mentioned or give you some of the drinks you
might be asking for. In any case, OneFootPrint is not to
be held liable for whatever financial losses or any other
damages directly or indirectly related to this menu.
For your convenience, to exclude
any possible problems with encoding and Chinese fonts, all
the pages of the menu have been converted to graphics (.jpg)
and included in one
big .pdf file that can be read with Adobe Acrobat software
available free of charge. If your computer supports Chinese
encoding, you may as well choose to download the menu in
.rtf or .doc
formats.
The new
updated version of this popular download
in .doc format is now available. The updated version
is just as informative, but more compact in size.
